What’s The World’s Most Expensive Camera?

May 14, 2012

An anonymous buyer paid a record $2.8m for a 1923 Leica camera this past weekend in Vienna. Vintage Leica Sells For $974,900

November 26, 2012

That distinction belongs to a 1923 Leica prototype, which sold last May for $2.3m. It was, however, a world auction record for this model, and a considerable surprise, as its final price was some seven times higher than Bonhams’ estimate.
