His subjects included popular destinations like the fashionable Cote d’Azur and ski resorts in the French Alps. On December 15th, Swann’s will hold a sale devoted exclusively to his work. The top estimated lots are posters for Vichy-Comite des Fetes and Monte Carlo, each estimated at $15,000-$20,000.
Others of his subjects featured at the sale include La Plage de Calvi, Corse, a 1928 work estimated at $8,000-$12,000, Les Sports d’hiver/St. Pierre de Chartreuse (1930), which carries an anticipated value of $8,000-$12,000, and a 1928 poster for Juans les Pins, expected to sell for $10,000-$15,000.
