A 1963 Ferrari GTO has reportedly sold earlier this year for about $32m to an unidentified buyer in the U.K. Four dealers at Paris’ Retromobile vintage car exhibition this past weekend confirmed the transaction. The event included an even more valuable Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic thought to be the world’s most expensive car, having changed hands last year for a reported $40m price.The GTO was one of just examples that Ferrari produced between 1962-1963. Those familiar with the car described it as having been in “well-preserved” condition, with a racing history, and its original paint. Not uncommon, the prices fetched in private transactions like this one exceed those commanded at auction.
