Before she was a Duchess, Kate Middleton tooled around in a 2001 Volkswagen at university and later used it to get to work in London. The car was handed down to her brother. In ’09, he sold it to a neighbor whose son is now trying to sell it on eBay. So far no buyers. Maybe because the reserve price is $32,000.
The listing runs through July 24th, and bidders may be laying back until the last minute. Kate bought the car new and ran up 60,000 miles before her brother got it. The seller says he rarely drove the VW Golf, and all he did was put new “tyres” on it. He paid the Middletons $2,245 for it.
